Introduction
RIMAL LABS LLC ("we", "our", or "us"), the developer of Dune Bird, is committed to protecting your privacy. This Privacy Policy explains how we collect, use, and safeguard your information when you use our mobile game.
Information We Collect
Information You Provide
- Player Name: When you choose to submit your score to the leaderboard, you provide a display name. This name is stored locally on your device and on our servers.
Automatically Collected Information
- Gameplay Data: Your high scores and survival times are collected when you submit to the leaderboard.
- Device Identifier: We generate a unique identifier from your device model and timestamp to distinguish leaderboard entries. This is NOT your Apple IDFA or Google Advertising ID.
- Device Information: We collect your device operating system name and model for the device identifier.
- Country/Region: Your country code is captured once when you first register for the leaderboard, used to display a country flag next to your name.
What We DON'T Collect:
- No email addresses or contact information
- No precise location data (GPS coordinates)
- No Apple IDFA or Google Advertising ID (unless you grant tracking permission for personalized ads)
- No personal information beyond your chosen display name and country
How We Use Your Information
- Leaderboard Display: Your display name and score are shown on the global leaderboard to other players.
- Game Functionality: Your scores are stored to track your personal best and display your ranking.
- No Marketing: We do not use your information for marketing, advertising, or promotional purposes.
- No Third-Party Sharing: We do not sell, trade, or share your information with third parties.
Data Storage and Security
- Local Storage: Your player name and personal best scores are stored locally on your device using AsyncStorage.
- Cloud Storage: Leaderboard data is stored securely using Supabase, a PostgreSQL database with industry-standard security measures.
- Anonymous Data: Leaderboard entries contain only your chosen display name and score - no personal identifiers.
- Data Security: We use secure connections (HTTPS) and follow best practices to protect your data.
User-Generated Content
Players can choose their own display names for the leaderboard. We implement profanity filtering to prevent inappropriate names, but we are not responsible for all user-generated content.
Children's Privacy
Dune Bird is suitable for all ages (4+). We do not knowingly collect personal information from children. The only information collected is the display name chosen by the player for leaderboard purposes, which can be any name the player wishes.
Third-Party Services
Supabase (Database)
We use Supabase for leaderboard data storage. Supabase's privacy policy can be found at: https://supabase.com/privacy
